Number 1![]() 800 x 600 size |
Number 1 Number 1 is a deceivingly difficult hole. A large bunker on the left side of the fairway has caught many a long drive and the right side of the fairway is out of bounds. Otherwise, it's a straight shot in to a domed green which is long and narrow with sand on the left. Just remember to stay out of the ornamental grass.

Number 4![]() 800 x 600 size |
Number 4 is a short, uphill par 3. You have to carry the sand trap which guards the entire front of the green. The green slopes from back to front enough to make putting an adventure. Watch out for out of bounds on the right.

Number 5![]() 800 x 600 size |
Number 5 is a slight dogleg left to a raised green. It might be considered by some to be a little long but otherwise, what you see is what you get. So why is it so difficult?

Number 7 is a par 4. This hole funnels down into a green with a large sand trap on the right. Trees line the fairway on both sides. Although it is one of the easiest holes on the course, you need to get off the tee with a straight ball. The second picture was taken through the trees from atop the hill to the left of the green. In a pinch, this hill can be useful in directing the ball into the green.

Number 8![]() Photograph: P. Smith (1999) 800 x 600 size |
Number 8 is a par 3, uphill, over a very large, sand-filled area (although it is not considered a hazard so you can sole your club in it). This picture shows the hole from atop the far edge of the green looking back toward the tee. The hole slopes very steeply and, depending on the pin placement, short putts that are initially missed can turn into long putts on the second try.

The number 10 hole is a par 3 with a severe slope to the front of the green. Don't mess with the trees in the back of the green or you may not be able to stop the ball coming back. The sand trap to the right is large and about three feet deep on the green side. When this green is fast, it is very fast. Generally, this is an easy hole, except when it isn't.

Number 13 Number 13 Tee ![]() Number 13 Creek ![]() |
Number 13 is a par 4. The first picture shows the hole from the forward tees. The back tees, moved about 50 yards further back in 2005, bring the trees on the left into play (see second picture). The fairway narrows to a small opening over a creek to a raised green (see third picture). Stay in the middle of the fairway and out of the water to get your par.

Number 14 is a par 4 with a large sand trap in the middle of the fairway. This picture is a view of your second shot to the green. The sand trap has a few large bushes in it that are known to eat errant shots. There is a creek that cuts across the fairway right in front of the tees and left of the fairway is very rough rough. The green is one of the best on the course.

Number 15 Number 15 |
Number 15 is the hardest hole on the golf course. There is a creek that meanders to the right and front of the green. The sand traps to the left and rear of the green have been replaced (2005) with grass mounds. You must carry the creek and stop your ball on the green to have a fighting chance at a three stroke par. The trees and bushes along the left of the tee are out of bounds, but you weren't thinking of going there, were you?

Number 16 Forward Tee![]() |
Number 16 is a dogleg left over a very tall tree and can present different perspectives depending on how far back the tee is located. This hole requires a straight shot out of a chute of trees, over a sand trap, around (or over) a large tree with a pond at the bottom of it, to a green protected by sand on two sides. If you stay out of the trees, the pond, and the sand, it's an easy hole. The picture shows the forward tees looking toward the 15th green. You can't see the 16th flag from the tees.

Number 17![]() 800 x 600 size |
Number 17 is a par 3 with a raised, sloping green. If you carry the green off the back, it is very difficult to pitch back and hold the green without rolling off the front. There is a large and deep sand trap to the left and rough on the right. Oh, and there is out of bounds beyond the tree line on the left. A tricky hole that can bite you near the end (of the round) if you let your concentration wander.

Number 18 Green![]() 800 x 600 size |
Number 18 is a par 5. Tee off up through the slot in the trees, and then over the crest of the hill. The green slopes to the front with a swale protecting the front edge. Sand on both sides usually is not in play.

Dave Flagler, Jr. , from Horsham, correctly identified this picture of the 16th hole taken from near the 13th green. Thanks, Dave. |
